Elected Experience:  Larry served 11 years on the Kirkland City Council, 4 years as Mayor before serving 7 terms in the State House of Representatives.

Other Professional Experience:  32 year owner of The Grape Choice wine shop in Kirkland.  Larry taught elementary school before starting his own business.

Education:  Bellevue High School, BA in Education Western Washington State College, Master of Science Degree University of Oregon.

Community Service:  Recent Board Member of Hopelink, Founding member of Leadership Eastside, Past Board Member of Seattle-King County Economic Development Council, Eastside Transportation Partnership, Puget Sound Regional Council, Kirkland Performance Center and Chair of the Suburban Cities Association.

Statement:  A 40 year small business owner, former Kirkland Mayor and teacher, Larry Springer is a straight talking, independent voice for our families and communities.  Larry demanded a responsible, balanced budget that significantly increased K12 education funding.  Larry worked to reform Washington's tax system to increase government efficiency and ease the burden on Washington families and small businesses.  

Larry always places results above partisan politics, especially government transparency and accountability.  He is committed to assuring our communities and schools are safe from gun violence, increased funding for colleges and universities, and increasing housing affordability.  Re-Elect Larry Springer.  Thank you.
