Legal/Judicial Experience: I presently serve as Presiding Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals (all divisions), previously served as the Chief Judge and Acting Chief Judge of Division Three, and have served as a Judge of the Court since 2010. Before becoming a judge, I practiced trial law for over 30 years, privileged to represent clients in many types of civil litigation in state and federal courts.

Other Professional Experience: Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy, Gonzaga University School of Law.

Education: LL.M. in Taxation, New York University, 1985; J.D., University of Utah, 1979; B.S., University of Utah, 1975.

Community Service: Trustee, Spokane Symphony.

Statement: My three decades helping clients with their problems and advocating on their behalf before becoming a judge informs my firm belief about what parties and their lawyers want and need from those of us on the Court of Appeals: an open mind, diligence, dedication to following the law, and clarity in our opinions. It has been my privilege to work hard for the voters of my district on the Court of Appeals for the past eight years. I look forward to continuing the important work of the Court and would be honored by your vote.
