Statement: The House of Representatives is meant to be the people’s voice in the government - the key element in how the system of checks and balances is meant to function. We are finished with the era of for-profit industries and big banks buying our elections. When our forefathers gathered after Independence to discuss how and if this nation would both unite and function, they first discussed the issue of representation. The cornerstone of my campaign is the Constitutional Apportionment Amendment, aka Article the First, in which the people are guaranteed proportional representation in the federal government.

The decisions we make today will have long lasting consequences. In the richest country in the history of the world we, have people freezing to death on the streets and more than half our children living in poverty. Healthcare costs are impossibly high, housing is beyond the reach of most workers, and students struggle to repay their loans with stagnant wages and multiple jobs. Meanwhile, corporations receive billions of dollars in tax cuts and subsidies while posting record profits. It is time to demand a higher standard from our government and my policies and donor list prove that I hold myself to that standard. Sending regular, working people to Congress makes the needed difference; we have been ignored for too long.

My vision is simple: proactive, complete solutions to serious problems. In the US, we can achieve universal healthcare, quality, public education from pre-K through graduate school, transparent, publicly-financed elections, and judicial reform. We will train millions of skilled workers, build the transportation and energy infrastructure of the future, and take urgent steps to achieve energy independence while guaranteeing every American a job.
