Statement: I am running to restore common-sence values and fact-based government to the people of the 32nd Legislative District, to stop the Seattle jobs tax, hold Sound Transit accountable, lower car tab fees, and to prevent the creation of drug consumption sites in our communities.

My opponent voted No four times on $1 billion in property tax relief. She refused to fix dishonest car tab valuations and voted to keep her files secret from the public. We can do better - much better.

For too long, our legislators who claim to represent us have passed laws and supported ideas such as drug consumption sites based on self-interest and political ideology rather than facts. Increasing taxes for employers through the jobs tax, raising sales tax, increasing car tab fees, and continuing to increase property taxes are all issues that hurt those who call the 32nd Legislative District home.

As a career firefighter and first responder, I understand how important it is to have the principled support of lawmakers and that just is not the case in our area anymore. I humbly ask for your vote as I look to bring real support back to the people of this district.
