Statement: I’ve devoted my life to making our community healthier, safer, and more equitable. From working as a registered nurse in a South Seattle clinic, to advocating for the Affordable Care Act in Olympia, I know firsthand the impacts government decisions have on patient care. That’s why I attended law school— to better advocate for the disadvantaged and underrepresented. Ever since, I’ve been a strong champion for improved healthcare, affordable housing, public education, and more.

As the Executive Director of the Washington Center for Nursing, I have proven experience developing a workforce that will expand Washington’s economy and healthcare system. I collaborated with stakeholders on legislation reducing health disparities and advancing sound labor, economic, education and environmental policy.

I’m running to take my proven experience to the Senate to improve health and economic outcomes in our state. We need more leaders with healthcare backgrounds to address the opioid and mental health crises. As a current board member for the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance, I’ll work tirelessly to address affordability in our state. As a Filipino immigrant who benefitted from public schools, I’ll champion strong investments in public education to assure opportunity for everyone. I respectfully ask for your vote.
