Statement: I remain committed to improving access to justice for all of our people and to contributing to a judiciary that is responsive, respectful to all participants, and unbiased in the application of the law. I seek to promote professionalism, accountability, and respect within our courts and to maintain the public’s trust in our legal system which, while sometimes imperfect, remains the best in the world.

We have made a lot of positive progress in the last 2 years including increasing the number of docket days in Asotin County and giving both Columbia County and Garfield County their own Docket days within the Judicial District to assist in improved case management and to create time for people to be heard. Recently, the 2nd Judicial District Idaho CASA program was forced to pull out of Asotin and Garfiled Counties. In response, we have implemented our own Court Appointed Special Advocate program to assist children in our District who come into our system through abuse, neglect, and other means. Despite these positive trends, we all know there is still a lot of work to be done and I look forward to working hard to serve our collective needs. Thank You.
