Statement: It is an honor to serve as one of your superior court judges. During my first term, I have strived to carry on the standards and traditions established by my well-respected predecessors.

I have also worked hard to keep our superior court as current as any in the state. For example, we recently installed improved videoconferencing and other audio/video equipment in the courtrooms to make them more modern and efficient. Another example is our therapeutic courts, such as adult and juvenile drug courts and LIFT (Living in Families Together) court. As the primary judge for adult drug court, I have personally witnessed how effective these “problem-solving” courts can be.

In addition to maintaining a full caseload, one of my goals for the upcoming term is to help coordinate the transition to a “paperless” court system. This, along with the scheduled implementation of the statewide Odyssey case management system, will leave Clallam County Superior Court well-positioned for the future.

I look forward to the challenges of the next term and respectfully ask for your vote.
