Community Service: As Chair of the 43rd District Democrats, Scott was a leader on issues including marriage equality, criminal justice reform, climate change, and increasing access to voting. His work brought diverse groups together to make the 43rd District a leading force for progressive politics. Other community service includes Innocence Project Northwest; Transportation Choices Coalition; Electronic Frontier Foundation; American Civil Liberties Union; Board of Trustees, University of Illinois.

Statement: For years, right-wing extremists in the state legislature have ignored Seattle’s priorities and values. It’s time to elect a leader with a proven record of building effective, progressive coalitions across a broad range of issues. That leader is Scott Forbes.
