Statement: As the only candidate in this race with experience in elected office, I have worked at the level of government closest to the people. As a city councilmember I owned my votes while considering all constituents. I will use that experience to develop a progressive tax system, reduce income inequality, and fully fund education. I will work to protect our environment, promote social justice, and support small business development. Each will strengthen economic vitality.
