Statement: As a veteran, I am asking for your support because I want to improve the lives of as many people as possible.

Experiencing the death of my father when I was young and receiving help from many people, I learned to have compassion for others and to value community. With a strong background in business, entrepreneurship, corporate strategic business planning, an MBA, a legal education and law license, I am uniquely qualified to represent you. In recognizing extreme economic inequality and fewer opportunities, I believe strongly that we need to return balance in our quest to keep an America that represents everyone.

Many people are falling below a living wage into poverty and our infrastructure is crumbling. We must fight for our seniors to protect and enhance Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, fight for $15 minimum wage, invest in mass transportation and repair our roads and bridges; these investments will create family prevailing wage jobs.

Social injustice and inequality demands we reform criminal and sentencing laws, reinstate the voting rights act, and decriminalize some drug offenses to reduce racial injustice, by treating drug problems as medical issues.

To keep America strong, we must protect the health of our people, food supply, and environment. In addition, new jobs and opportunities will come from embracing new energy sources, harnessing the sun, wind, and water currents. For our collective future, we must fight for basic healthcare for all, improved VA healthcare, ideally with a single payer system, restore education funding, require equal pay for equal work, and protect a woman’s reproductive health rights.

Most importantly, we need to have our economy and judicial system work for all, not just the top 1%. I want to help! By joining together, we can accomplish our positive goals recognizing that we are in this together.
