Other Professional Experience: Founder, Safe Homes, a 501c3, non-profit since 1995.  Three Honorable Discharges- (US Regular Army, Washington Army Guard and US Army Reserves) - Disabled Veteran.

Education: Master of Science, Human Resources; Bachelors of Arts, Business Management; Associate of Arts & Science; High School Diploma; Commissioned Officer-Captain, Washington Military Academy.

Community Service: National Association of University Women; Governor Locke Appointee, WA State Sentencing Guidelines Commission.  Co-Founder, WA State Women Ministerial Alliance; WA State Women’s Political Caucus Steering Committee; Tacoma-Pierce County Black Collective; Former President, Black Women’s Caucus; SouthEnd Neighborhood Council.

When you want experience, compassion and commitment from your State Representative then you want Janis Clark. Janis doesn’t just talk about justice and fairness; she has fought for it for over 30 years. Janis is a military sexual assault and racial prejudice survivor who won’t quit when the going gets tough.

Janis is passionate about providing economic opportunity, improving schools, and keeping our neighborhoods safe. She has been a tireless advocate for the abandoned, abused and misunderstood. Her non-profit organization has helped hundreds of veterans and their families’ right when they needed it. Please vote for Janis Clark.
