Elected Experience: First time candidate

Other Professional Experience: Chief Financial Officer; Entrepreneur whose startup company created over 100 jobs in Pierce County.

Education: BBA College of William and Mary, MBA Santa Clara University.

Community Service: Taught young men responsibility and leadership as Boy Scout leader and reversed membership declines as Pacific Harbors Council Membership V.P.  Provided compassionate leadership in leadership positions in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Worked to revitalize community engagement as board member of League of Women Voters.  Worked to create pubic/private partnerships while serving on Puyallup and Sumner School District committees.

Statement: When you think of politics do you think of name calling and finger pointing? It shouldn’t be that way. As an independent Ned will work quietly to draft sensible legislation and build consensus across party lines.

His primary goals include: 1) Developing a compassionate plan to provide affordable housing while holding individuals experiencing homelessness accountable for their actions and protecting the rights of property owners, 2) Assuring that schools have adequate resources, and that funds are spent wisely, and 3) Developing capital and transportation budgets that overcome traffic gridlock.
