Statement: I've spent my career helping kids and families thrive, building coalitions, and crafting policies that make a difference. With your vote I'll bring proven, effective leadership and strong, progressive values to a State Senate in need of bold ideas and the skills to make them work.

I've led regional efforts to provide healthy starts for kids and believe in universal access to quality, affordable care for all. I'm committed to protecting and expanding health care access-including fundamental rights of women, mental health coverage, and Medicare options for seniors. As a public school mom and advocate for responsible gun laws, I am passionate about efforts to raise the firearm purchasing age, hold gun owners accountable when their weapons fall into the wrong hands, and restrict access to the deadliest weapons.

Like many, I am tired of quick-fix state policies that raise property taxes and sales taxes. I will demand reform of our regressive tax structure, including a capital gains tax and other policies that tax wealth, not work.

Endorsed: Executive Dow Constantine, Six King County Councilmembers including Joe McDermott, Burien Councilmember Pedro Olguin, Building and Construction Trades, Nurses, Aerospace Machinists, UFCW21, King County Young Democrats, and many more!
