Statement: I am a wife, mother and a 3rd generation Vashon Islander. I look forward to being the voice of the working class and working on issues around homelessness. Lack of affordable housing for all and rising property taxes are causing people to leave communities they have lived in for generations. Growth in our communities is good but not at the expense of the working class families and seniors.

Education, school safety and child welfare need to be top priorities. Family values and a stable home life play a large part in education. How can a child be expected to learn if they are hungry, if their family is unsafe or wonder where they'll sleep at night? All these issues and education funding play a role in educating the next generation of leaders.

Transportation will also be a priority. The congestion we are facing on our local highways as well as inconsistent ferry service makes travel in our area a long and frustrating event. No one wants a 2-3 hour commute and we all want access to the downtown core for events.

With your vote I can help with these issues. Thank you for putting your confidence in me.
