Statement: The
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office needs to get back into the business of doing
law enforcement for the people. As an agency we need to provide the public with
what they pay us for: being a positive presence in the community, helping those
in need, and enforcing the laws in a compassionate manner that is compatible
with Jefferson County community standards and expectations. Performing law
enforcement in this way is the essence of authentic community policing. With me
as your Sheriff you can expect dedication
to the community; fiscal responsibility; responsible, professional decision
making; solid collaboration with other agencies; and the best use of limited
resources for maximum effect.
