Elected Experience: Current Jefferson County Auditor,
first term.
Other Professional Experience: Jefferson County Treasurer’s Office 1996-1998,
Department of Community Development 1998-2012, promoted from Permit Technician
to Office Coordinator-Lead, Auditor’s Office Chief Accountant from 2012-2015.
Statement: I have
been honored to serve as the Jefferson County Auditor. I believe I have carried out the duties of
the office with honesty, integrity and fairness for all residents of Jefferson
County.
Under my
leadership the office has continued working to find ways to improve processes
to gain efficiencies. When the new Department
of Licensing software system was installed, it was slower than anticipated. We
requested they add two more stations to allow others in the office to help shorten
customer waiting time. Prior to the 2017 Primary, three additional ballot drop
boxes were installed in Brinnon, Quilcene and Nordland.
Looking
to the next term, it is crucial that the Treasurer and Auditor implement new
accounting software that ensures reliability, improves accessibility and
provides the necessary efficiencies for reporting financials to the State. This will improve service to you our customers. I will continue to run the office in
accordance with state law while implementing process improvements.
I look
forward to continue serving as your County Auditor.
