Statement: I’ve been honored to serve as the Jefferson County Clerk since being appointed unanimously by a bi-partisan Board of County Commissioners in January, 2005. During that time the Clerk’s office has provided consistent, fair and efficient service to Superior Court, and has maintained its reputation as a skilled and helpful team of professional public servants assisting people to obtain access to the courts.

Over three terms as the County Clerk I have implemented a modern jury management system, greatly improved the security and accessibility of Superior Court case records at very little cost to county taxpayers, reorganized the office, reorganized exhibit control, instituted cross training, improved financial procedures, and most recently, led the office in adopting a modern case management system while steadfastly retaining local custody of Jefferson County’s Superior Court documents.

I’ve had the privilege of serving six years on the State Supreme Court’s Gender and Justice Commission, served as the President of the Washington State Association of County Clerks, advocated for the clerks in countless contexts, been honored as Clerk of the Year by my peers in 2008 and 2016, and won the Magnuson Award in 2010. Thank you for the privilege to serve.
