Statement: I am running for Gig Harbor City Council because I love this place and i want to guard the uniqueness that makes the city beloved by its residents.

Without question, Gig Harbor will grow--it must grow--but how it grows greatly matters to all who live here, and greatly matters to me.

Uncontrolled growth, shortsighted planning, and sloppy commication with city residents are unacceptable options to me. As a city council member, my goal is to represent residents rather than dictate to them; to protect the beauty and integrity of Gig Harbor.

By years of experience in the business world, I fully understand economics and fiscal responsiblilties attached to city decisions. By organizational and relational skills developed through vast business experience, service on many boards of directors, my personal philosophy, my genuine care for people, and my unswerving willingness to deal fairly with issues of importance, I have a strong record of having successfully brought to consensus people with seemingly opposite and inflexible goals.

I am ready to serve and ask for your support. I am convinced that together we can guarantee that Gig Harbor remains one of the worlds best places to live. Pete Normanm
