Statement: As a paralegal, I fight to protect homeowners in our community from big banks. Now, I will take the fight to the state senate to protect our community against big party lobbyists.

Instead of funding education, Republicans and Democrats hold our children hostage to partisan agendas. The people have spoken: Every child deserves a great education, and I will fight to empower parents and teachers to deliver the best education to every child in Washington State.

It just makes sense for a senator to listen to the people. We don’t want a state income tax we voted down, and we don’t want sticker shock when we go to pay our car tabs because voters weren’t informed about the costs. I will protect your family from more surprise tax hikes. Our community should be welcoming and affordable for everyone, but regressive taxes hurt middle class families.

Let’s keep property and sales taxes reasonable and work together to prevent those in need from falling through the cracks. As an independent voice, I will hold both parties accountable to serve you. I’ve fought for justice for homeowners in King County, and I will fight for you in Olympia! I appreciate your vote.
