Statement: We have serious issues facing our community; rapidly rising home prices and rents, a moratorium on wells, living-wage jobs being threatened and farmers are struggling with regulatory excesses.   Too often the struggles of renters, landowners, business owners and farmers are ignored.  It's time to listen, ask questions and change the conversation.

We need a fresh perspective and an open mind to find solutions to our complex challenges. As a longtime businesswoman, I’ve learned to seek both sides of an issue. It’s possible to protect our environment and water supply while still making it possible for businesses and farms to thrive.

I’m endorsed by respected elected officials, including Lynden Mayor Scott Korthuis, Ferndale Mayor Jon Mutchler, Everson Mayor John Perry, Nooksack Mayor Jim Ackerman and Sumas Mayor Bob Bromley. I’m supported by many community leaders, including Rich Appel, Lesa Boxx, Carmen Denson, Mimi (Osterdahl) Eggers, Dennis Hill, Kamyar Monsef, Jon Soine, Rick Sucee, Allison Trimble and Debbie Vander Veen.

Vowing to serve all county residents, I humbly ask for your vote.
