Community Service: Michelle has dedicated her time serving our kids and our schools through the PTA.  She currently serves as the President of the Auburn Council of PTAs, and serves on Region 9 that oversees 136 PTAs across the region.  Michelle is also a member of the American Legion in Auburn.

Statement: As a veteran, small business owner, and mom, Michelle knows firsthand that when it comes to the issues facing our community - whether improving our schools, reducing traffic, or building a strong economy - we cannot afford to kick the can down the road. We cannot afford to send more politicians focused on partisan bickering and game-playing to Olympia.

As PTA President, Michelle has a proven track record of delivering results for our schools. She's raised money to fund technology improvements, field trips, and other educational opportunities for kids across our region. She's advocated for increased funding for our schools, for living up to our state's paramount duty of funding education for every kid in every community.

Michelle is ready to continue that fight in Olympia as your State Senator. She is committed to increasing our graduation rates, reducing class sizes, and getting our kids out of portables and in to real classrooms. She is dedicated to reducing traffic so working parents can spend more time with their families. She will work to reduce red tape and taxes so small businesses can thrive.

Endorsed by King County Sheriff John Urquhart, King County Labor Council, Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus, and more.
