(Prefers Democratic Party)

Elected Experience: Appointed to State House in 2015, elected by voters in 2016.  Appointed to State Senate in 2017.

Other Professional Experience: A former prosecutor and city attorney, Patty’s legal practice is now devoted to helping the disadvantaged, those facing discrimination, and those injured by drunk or distracted drivers.

Education: B.A., University of Minnesota; J.D., William Mitchell College of Law.

Community Service: Volunteered with Sacred Heart Social Concerns, Congregations for the Homeless, NARAL Pro-Choice Washington, and Chrysalis Domestic Violence Law Clinic. She earned the “Golden Acorn” while serving as Co-President of Chinook Middle School PTSA.  She is a current board member of the Anti-Defamation League.

Statement: Five years ago, the Supreme Court was clear – Olympia is not making our public schools a priority. That’s why Patty first ran for office. Patty supported bills to reduce the achievement gap, provide breakfast after the bell for hungry kids, increase the graduation rate, and make it easier for special needs students to get the education they need to be successful.

Traffic congestion impacts us all. When 405 express tolls were introduced, Patty stood up for us and will continue to fight to ensure all our transportation options are fiscally responsible and get people where they need to go.

While Congress is willing to sell our private information to the highest bidder and take away our health care, Patty fights to protect us. Patty sponsored legislation to prevent selling our private information, and as a leader on the Health Care Committee she will fight to ensure no one loses their health insurance. As an attorney and our State Senator, Patty Kuderer is fighting for us every step of the way.

Endorsed by Lt. Governor Cyrus Habib, Attorney General Bob Ferguson, our Representatives Joan McBride and Vandana Slatter, 48th LD Democrats, WEA, NARAL Pro-Choice Washington, our firefighters, and many more.
