Statement: As our state recovers from the poor economy, there are two parts of the puzzle needed to get us back on our feet: A job and your ability to keep more of your money in your pockets. Every day I’ve served you as your representative, that has been my guide and my goal.
My main focus: Get Washington working again with small business leading the way. That requires a smaller, more efficient and economically realistic government. Stop the never-ending demands to increase your taxes and fees without asking you; work to give you a say in our future, including a vote on the CRC bridge replacement, light rail, and tolls. That’s our money being spent it should be spent wisely.
I’ve cut my own pay in the legislature and made sure that I-205 wouldn’t be tolled to pay for the CRC, prioritized spending to do those things government should do: Fund education, transportation, public safety and those most vulnerable who must have our help. My concern is always this: Are we doing the best we can with what we have to work with?
Together, we can make a difference. I’m Ann Rivers and I’m asking for your vote for Senator.
