Elected Experience: I am knowledgeable on local issues and feel compelled to run for public office to be your voice in Olympia--Whatcom County deserves strong representation. America’s system of law and government is a model for the world and needs practical people involved in our state.

Other Professional Experience: I co-own a small apparel manufacturing business and co-authored the book Integrity. I've dedicated my professional life to nonprofit education, at-risk-youth programs, and clean water.

Education: BS and MS from WWU

Community Service: Beach cleanups, river cleanups, and trail work. Business donor to the Wounded Warrior Project. I'm a third generation Washingtonian and raised my daughter here.

Statement: I am a father, husband, homeowner and small business owner. Opportunity and prosperity depend on great public schools, and accessible higher education and healthcare. Our Whatcom economy needs stable agriculture, healthy environment, and real jobs. We need to work with stakeholders to create common sense water policies.

When times are tough, government should invest in infrastructure and business development to create great local jobs and keep people in their homes--not waste taxpayer money on a coal terminal that costs jobs and risks human health. I will keep government accountable, the budget sustainable, and make Washington work for you.
