Statement:
I’m running for Senate to provide a pragmatic voice in the creation of jobs, improving schools and protecting our way of life. Growing up in Anacortes and playing on the beaches since I was a child has given me the desire to preserve our unique environment. I will listen, respect the opinions of others and work with anyone regardless of party to find solutions.

Coming from a family of teachers, I understand the challenges of our education system, and will work with all stakeholders to find solutions.

As a proven job creator, I see our state becoming less competitive and lacking focus on how to create jobs. I will help the private sector grow by reducing the tax burden on everyone and reducing excessive regulations while maintaining our strong environmental protections. I have spent years making calm, measured and rational decisions in the aerospace industry and I can bring that experience to Olympia. The incumbent voted for job-killing tax increases and overturned the voters’ will to require a 2/3 majority to increase taxes. I will bring practical and personal knowledge, based on education and experience in the real world outside of government beauracracy, to the State Senate.
