Elected Experience: State Senator, 2008 – present. Randi opposed tax increases, voted to uphold the two-thirds requirement to raise taxes and earned the endorsements of small business groups for her work to create jobs.
Other Professional Experience: Randi worked for 24 years in the medical field, managing multi-million dollar budgets as a medical administrator. Prior to that, she worked as a realtor and flight attendant.
Education: Attended Green River Community College, business studies; and continuing education during her career in the medical field
Community Service: Active participant in local Chambers and service clubs, Graham Business Association, Washington State History Museum Board, Backcountry Horsemen, and Dollars for Scholars auctions
Statement: Randi Becker’s not a career politician. Before being elected for the first time in 2008, Randi had a full career in real estate and medical administration. But, her neighbors wanted a legislator who listened and who would not be tangled up in party politics or special interest agendas.
Randi has worked hard her whole life. She knows jobs aren’t easy to find. As a Senator, she is trying to make it easier for private businesses to hire and expand, clearing away regulations that hinder growth while improving infrastructure and education.
Randi has proven she gets results. She’s made improvements to our high education system and took a stand against red light cameras. Randi is an avid fisher and hunter and a member of the NRA. She and her husband, Bob, live on a small farm near Eatonville.
“Four years from now, I would like to say – I made it a little easier for people to get jobs and a little easier for people to get good, career-building educations. I’d like property owners and families to be able to say – Thanks to Randi, I have more freedom to live my life without government interference. I would appreciate your vote.”
