Statement: Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your past support. By working together we have made a difference in the lives of Washington families and businesses. I am running because I have the experience and enthusiasm to work for the people of the 1 st Legislative District.
I am recognized as a legislative champion of education. As a mother, grandmother, former School Board member and award-winning legislator I have made a powerful impact on schools. I want to continue to fight to stop cuts and fully fund Basic Education and Higher Education. I want to fight to invest in our student’s futures with Early Learning and STEM education. We must prepare our students for the high demand careers here in Washington State.
As a small business owner I understand the challenges many of you have faced during this economic downturn. We must invest in businesses small and large. Creating jobs and keeping the people in Washington working is important to our economic recovery. I support public safety, solving our transportation problems, healthcare needs, and taking steps towards protecting our environment.
As a Bothell resident of 50 years, I will continue to fight for my family and yours.
