Statement: As Chair of the Early Learning and Human Services Committee, Ruth is an effective, powerful voice for children and families. She has led the legislature's efforts to improve the quality of child care and pre-school and to strengthen services for foster chldren.
Ruth focuses on finding ways to make government more effective. She has championed major reforms to our child welfare system, truck safety, drug sentencing and treatment and drop-out prevention.
