Community Service: Member of Yelm Methodist Church, former President of the Yelm Lions Club, served on the Roy Volunteer Fire Department. He was awarded an Honorary Chapter Farmer degree by the Yelm FFA and has also served on many school district committees.
Statement: JT Wilcox has become one of our area’s most effective legislators, working to balance the state budget and restore jobs to our local economy. He knows firsthand the harm of thoughtless overregulation. Last session he worked quietly to fix bills that would have hurt farms and small businesses.
The Wilcox family has farmed along the banks of the Nisqually River for over 100 years. JT learned many valuable lessons from working on the farm, including how to deal with lean times and the need to balance a budget. JT and wife, Kathy, live on the farm with their three children.
