Elected Experience: Four-term State Representative, 21st District.
Other Professional Experience: Owned a small business, worked for a non-profit agency serving mothers with new babies, and was the co-founder and Chair of the Children’s Campaign Fund. Mary Helen has also consulted on land use and transportation issues.
Education: Attended Oregon State University; UCLA graduate.
Community Service: Mary Helen has lived in the 21st District for 32 years where she raised her two daughters. She served as a Trustee for Edmonds Community College, supporting the Center for Families, and is an active volunteer in her church and community.
Statement: Mary Helen Roberts effectively represents our values in the legislature by helping create new family wage jobs; investing in education; supporting small business; improving transportation, including safe school routes; keeping our communities secure; and protecting the environment, especially Puget Sound.
She will continue to work to make state government more efficient and effective while fighting to preserve services for our most vulnerable and fully fund k-12 education. Meeting the needs of children in foster care and the developmentally disabled are among her top priorities. With your support, Mary Helen will continue to serve our District for the next two years.
