Statement: Nothing is more important than getting Washingtonians back to work. We need to rebuild infrastructure and create a new clean energy economy. Let’s recommit to our public schools so kids can truly compete in the global economy. I was a legislator previously at a time when things got done. We were not mired in divisive, partisan politics.
As a legislator, I led the effort to increase health care coverage, made it illegal for insurers to discriminate and required insurers to pay for breast cancer screening. It’s time to end divisive politics and bring back a common sense focus on results.
