Education: Steve began his education in our community at Wainwright Elementary. Graduated University of Washington and Seattle University Law School.
Community Service: Steve serves the poor on the Yakima Indian Reservation by providing new roofs, food, and tutoring for children. Steve volunteers at a legal clinic for the homeless, is a school board member and church leader. His wife, Laurie, teaches at TCC. They have two sons: one at West Point, the other in the Army Reserves.
Statement: “I grew up delivering newspapers on my bike in UP and Fircrest and was raised by a single mom who taught kindergarten here. I coached my sons’ UP baseball teams. For 40 years, I’ve made this community my home.”
Steve wants to keep our neighborhoods great places to live and raise our children and grandchildren. He believes government must live within its means so it can afford our priorities: educating children, public safety, and easing burdens on job creators. Steve defended 8,000 public school teachers and represents parents fighting public education cuts. Steve would be honored to have your vote.
